Returns and Exchanges 

Products purchased through SimplyEV’s retail locations should follow the retailer's return policies and can't be returned to SimplyEV online store directly. 

 

All electric vehicles (EV), except those on sale or refurbished models, purchased through the SimplyEV website are subject to the terms and conditions below. 

 

Please read through our returns and exchanges policy thoroughly to know our terms. 

 
 

RETURNS & EXCHANGES: TERMS AND CONDITIONS 

All merchandise purchased through our website should fulfill these conditions to be entitled to a return/exchange.  

 

  1. Sealed & Unused Electric Vehicles

 

Unopened units must be returned in ten business days after delivery; up to a 10% restocking fee is applied for all unopened merchandise. The customer is responsible for the return shipping fee. 

 

SimplyEV covers the shipping prices for the first delivery to you. If you have a change of heart after product delivery, the customer must pay the shipping fees for returning the package. Unopened returns will charge a 10% restocking fee if you refuse the unit on arrival. 

 

The restocking fee and the other fees associated with your return are subtracted from the whole refund quantity before the refund is complete. 

 

  1. Opened Merchandise (EVs only) - 5-Mile Rule

 

Opened merchandise could also be returned in 15 calendar days after delivery and should have no more than five miles of usage. Upon return, a 20% restocking fee is applied for all opened merchandise as well as a return shipping fee. 

 

Riding up to five miles on an electric vehicle may be adequate enough for you to decide if an electric vehicle is right for you. If you have problems, please contact our Customer Support team. Check our policies and utilize our resources. If a product arrives broken or damaged, we advise checking if our warranty covers it. 

 

Merchandise should be returned untampered with and within the original packaging. 

 

The restocking fee and the other fees associated with your return are subtracted from the whole refund quantity before the refund is complete. 

 

Three simple STEPS TO come OR EXCHANGE 

Step 1: Apply for a return/exchange through support@simplyev.com 

Step 2: Ensure you've met all requested criteria and transfer all necessary documents and footage. 

Step 3: Upon confirmation, ship the product back. 

  • Pack the unit in original packaging or a durable box to confirm it'll arrive unimpaired. This is the customer's responsibility. 
  • Once the product is received and verified, you'll receive a confirmation email with the main points of your refund. We'll process the refund or store credit. 

 

*Please note that applying doesn't mean approval. SimplyEV reserves the right to deny any application if any reason is addressed.* 

 

*Products purchased through a certified distributor should follow the retailer's return policies and can't be returned to SimplyEV headquarters directly.* 

 

Shipping/Restocking Fees Explained 

 

E-Commerce Returns:  

 

If the customer has opened the product’s box and they wish to return the unit. They will have fifteen calendar days to do so, and the product must have less than five miles of use. Then there will be a 20% restocking fee. Therefore, the customer will ship the product back by the 15 calendar day period. 

 

If the product’s box is unopened, the customer has ten calendar days to ship the unit back, will be charged a 15% restocking fee, and will pay to ship the product back. The customer can choose to use it for any exchange if they're not happy with their purchase. 

 

For example: 

You are set within the United States and buy a Mini-Motors Speedway Leger professional for $1,399. 

 

You received the cargo, opened the box, tried the vehicle for fewer than five miles, and then realized that an electric vehicle is not for you. This is more common than one would think. 

Your refunded quantity are $1,399 - $300 (shipping/restocking) - $41.97 (transaction fees) = $1057.03.   

Retail Returns: 

For retail purchases, we only will accept exchanges or provide store credit for unused electric vehicles. 

 If you do not prove a sound reason or claim performance as a reason, your unit might not be eligible for return/exchange.  

Customers are responsible for ensuring that the chosen electric vehicle has adequate power, given your size and placement. We confirm the riding speed, range, and hill climbs supported by a regular 165lbs rider. Thus performance can vary, supporting the rider’s weight, riding style, battery charge/condition, and road conditions. Returning or exchanging an electric vehicle as a result of it being too slow isn't a sound reason. 

 

If the product is unopened or unused, then there will be no restocking fee, and an exchange or store credit will be possible. If the EV has less than 2 miles of mileage and is in prime condition (as new), the EV is eligible for an exchange or store credit with a 10% restocking fee that will be deducted from the original amount added. 

 All sales at our retail locations are final. 

A SimplyEV product (purchased on the SimplyEV website or through a certified retailer) contains a restricted 6-month or 1-year manufacturer’s warranty (varies depending on EV’s brand) covering components due to manufacturer defects. 

 If a manufacturer defect arises throughout the warranty timeline, SimplyEV will pay the shipping prices for the returned unit to ship to SimplyEV for repairs. 

Acceptance of Returns 

When the electric vehicles are returned, we will assess the condition to determine what fees could apply. Whether or not the package was opened or sealed, customers could also be charged up to 20% restocking fee given the subsequent conditions.  

 

Packaging and Protection 

The customer is accountable for proper packaging and ensuring that the electric vehicle is returned unimpaired and operating unless the existing damage was reported before the return/exchange. 

 Electric vehicles returned in heavily used condition with unreported damages and with no original packaging subject to a further restocking fee amounting to 20% of the initial product price. 

 

Refusal of Returns/Exchanges 

SimplyEV reserves the right to refuse your request for a return or exchange if the product fails to fulfill the earlier criteria. Here are some scenarios during which we tend not to settle for a return or exchange.  

  1. Accessories and spare components are usually not eligible for return/exchange.

Our return/exchange policy doesn't apply to smaller parts like accessories or spare components.  

  • If an accessory or part is inoperable upon arrival, SimplyEV can offer a replacement/exchange for a similar accent or half at no value to the client.  
  • If a customer would like to create a return for an accessory or component that has been approved, a restocking fee can apply. 
  • The customer should ensure that their accessory or component is compatible with their electric vehicle. 
  • The customer is liable for making certain that accessories or spare components are purchased for an electric vehicle. If the customer purchased an accessory or part prior to their order and we don’t sell the accessory for the product we are shipping, then it is the customer's responsibility to make sure that the part is compatible with the electric vehicle purchased. 

 

  1. If you do not prove a sound reason or claim performance as a reason, your unit might not be eligible for return/exchange. 

 

If you do not offer a reason for your return, SimplyEV could value more highly to refuse it.

  1. If you do not receive approval for the return/exchange before shipping it to SimplyEV, it'll not be eligible for return/exchange.

 

If you ship your electric vehicle back to SimplyEV without having had the previous contact to initiate a return or exchange, the product won't approve for return. SimplyEV reserves the right to reject the shipment and refuse the return/exchange. 

  1. If the customer used the unit for competitions, rentals, or business functions, it'd not be eligible for return/exchange.
  1. If the unit was a refurbished model or purchased at a reduced worth, it'll not be eligible for return/exchange. 

Electric vehicles enclosed during a warehouse sale or oversubscribed as refurbished models aren't eligible for come or exchange.  

However, our warranty covers all vital parts of refurbished products. 

  1. If the product isn’t compliant with native state/county laws, that's not an eligible reason for return/exchange.

Please fastidiously review your native state/county laws before buying an electric vehicle to ensure you understand what's allowed in your region.  

 

EXCEPTIONS 

 Everyone at SimplyEV works laboriously to ensure you get your product, particularly your electric vehicle, of the finest quality. Here, below, are some exceptions that tend to allow returns/exchanges: 

  1. Units damaged throughout Transit

 While we take each precaution to ensure the product is well-packed, harm may occur throughout cargo transit from our warehouse to your destination. 

 Box Damages: Shipping heavy and large products across the country could cause scuffs around the box, which is traditional for all shipping. The box's purpose is to ensure the unit within is well protected. 

If your product arrives having received damage throughout transit: 

  • Take footage of the harm and reach the freight company for a confirmation or claim variety. 
  • Please refuse delivery and have the carrier note your refusal reason as “damaged.” 
  • If you can't refuse the broken cargo upon arrival or the damage is hidden, inform the freight company and SimplyEV straight away. 
  • Shipping-related damages should be reported to the freight company and SimplyEV within seven days of cargo receipt. 
  • Open a support claim with SimplyEV, describing the damages, photos, videos, and a confirmation variety from the freight company. Don't throw away the initial packaging. 
  1. Product Return for Warranty Claims

A SimplyEV product (purchased on the SimplyEV website or through a certified retailer) contains a restricted 6-month or 1-year guarantee covering components due to manufacturer defects.

  1. Electric Vehicle Exchange Policy

SimplyEV can not ship replacement units before the initial units return. To show our customers that we understand the inconvenience of receiving a damaged product, we will ship out replacement units before receiving the initial unit at our headquarters.  Unfortunately, we've had too many incidents where the initial unit wasn't as broken as claimed, where we shipped a new replacement unit. Some customers would keep their unbroken original unit and the new replacement unit. We ship replacement units to customers once receiving the initial unit and collateral any reportable harm or problems. However,  please bear in mind that this process can take time. If you're close to one of our storefronts, we'll gladly speed up the process the quickest we can. 

 

If you do not wish to wait for an exchange for your unit, we are willing to supply a full refund once the unit has been returned. 

 

Returns & Exchanges Explained 

SimplyEV offers free shipping for customers. We will take care of shipping fees. Our team will perform in-depth inspections for each unit. We process returns and exchanges thoroughly. 

 

We don't charge clients for this examination or continuing customer service and support. However, return shipping and taxes square rates are transferred to the customer if you submit your unit for an exchange/return.
